This was a fun one, and again, tricky! While Etsy seems to have a huge amount of Americans making and selling clothing, Australians seem to be a little behind the 8-ball when it comes to this particular craft. However, I have searched high and low on the interwebs and found 10 lovely Australian handmade clothing labels to share with you today.

All photos are sourced from the designer’s websites.

1. Lyptis

Lyptis is a label run by the ferociously funny German-now-Australian Francesca. A range of gorgeous comfortable dresses and other items, you’ll find something to suit your style – and a new item of clothing you’ll find yourself wearing again and again.

2. Maiocchi

Maiocchi is a gorgeous line based in Brisbane. I’ve seen the Maiocchi shop in The Valley, and oh! Such gorgeous clothes! Deanne is the woman behind the label, which showcases her love of Japanese fabric and hand-embellished touches.

3. Miss Hussy

So sweet, so sexy! Miss Hussy is a vintage-inspired line of clothes… and not only are the clothes to die for, her model photos are gorgeous, too!

4. Peta Pledger

50’s inspired breezy glamour is the go at Peta Pledger’s clothing label. Custom-made designs ensure that your garments will be the perfect fit!

5. Caldi Design

Just graduating from a contemporary fashion course, Caldi is one to keep an eye on…

6. Krista Hochwallner

A gorgeous collection of mostly cocktail-style dresses, Krista is based in Melbourne.

7. Something Else

Another vintage/40’s-50’s inspired line of clothes (oh I wish I could dress like this every day!). Just lovely!

8. Penelope Red

Based in Sydney, Penelope Red makes a range of custom-made designs – dresses and much more!

9. Pamela Tang

Pamela Tang’s style is clean lines and minimalist. Very understated – clothing your could wear and accessorise so many different ways.

10. Yogini Streetwear

Based in the Adelaide Hills, Yogini is a gorgeous range of functional, comfortable clothing by an ex-yoga teacher.

I hope you enjoyed this little stroll through some of the gorgeous handmade clothing happening right here in Australia! Next time I’ll be bringing you 10 Awesome Aussie Indie Artists!!

P.S. It’s my birthday today – happy birthday to meeee!! 29 – eek!
