Last week I blogged about some gorgeous handmade shops I visited in Melbourne.

Today I’m going to share a little market that I visited on Saturday – and some of the lovely people I met! I found out about the Yarraville Market through a twitter and Etsy friend, Amelia from Milkwood. When I found out she and another of my online friends – Jo from Ruby-Jo – were going to be there, I was very excited to go visit!

Nick and I had already planned to spend Saturday wandering around the Melbourne Botanic gardens, so a little extra train journey to visit the markets was easy to do.

They were easy to spot when I walked in the door to the little boutique market…

That’s Amelia on the left, Jo in the middle, and yours truly on the right… and yes, I’m wearing the Melbourne scarf!

Amelia and Jo’s table looked just divine… here’s a bit of a closer look…

Milkwood

How gorgeous is this set-up? And no, Amelia isn’t hiding.. she’s putting on a pair of my Little Square Hoops that I brought along for her.

Ruby-Jo

See that cream-coloured purse at the top…? I have one, and it is GORGEOUS!!

I really wanted to chat to other folks and photograph other stalls… but unfortunately I had a whopping headache and needed to go find some drugs to wipe it out! I did however make my first Handmade May purchase – a lovely handmade Mother’s Day card (I’d show you but my mum reads this blog sometimes, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise).

Oh, and just in case you’d like to visit the Yarraville Markets sometime – they’re on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month – visit their blog for more details.
