I’m going to share a little series here on Epheriell Designs about the city I love and grew up in – Brisbane.

There is so much crafty/arty awesomeness going on in Brisbane these days, that I’ve gone and done a little investigating for lovely things and places to share with you all! Look out for the new in.cube8r store; a piece on the latest brisStyle indie designers market; a few bits of urban art; and – today – our first feature!

Welcome to Nook – the most fantastic little handmade wares store I’ve ever seen! *Warning!!! The amount of crafty goodness in this post may crash your computer – but hey, how could I leave anything out??*

Nook is owned and run by Michelle Gillies out of her home in West End, Brisbane (BrisStylettes may know Michelle from her own label, Pedrospout).

Just up the road from the main shopping strip on Boundary Street, Nook is tucked away amongst other little salons and shops. You can’t miss the bright signs and inviting window display as you walk past!Inside, there’s a cornucopia of craft! Jewellery, bags, homewares, art, brooches, books, mugs, mags, clothes… you get the idea! I spotted a few of my crafty friends’ goods in there – the likes of Pocket Carnival

Miss Isa

That Vintage….

… and much, much more!

I, of course, had to make a few purchases! I got this sweet little card, do you remember these ice-blocks to share?

This awesome set of pencils:

Part of a whole Penguin range!

And – I was very excited about this one – the newest issue of Extra Curricular – a New Zealand Indie Mag! Definitely worth a look!

Whew! So, have I convinced you to go visit yet?

You can find Nook at 19 Browning St, West End, Brisbane – tell Michelle I sent you! ;D
