Do you love books and bookshelves as much as I do? One of the many things I wanted to be as a child was a librarian…
… and I’ve always wanted a wall full of books…
… and somewhere cozy to read them…
… I hope the love of books never dies, even in this digital age.

Great photos Jess, as an avid reader myself – i get a warm fuzzy going into borders, the library etc… and the ultimate would be to have a home library like the ones you featured…so many books too little time !!!
Cheers
Daniele
Yep, love the smell of bookstores! I am adamant that our house – when we build it- will have a wall of books – luckily my hub is an avid reader to – and he’s all for it! 😀
I love it! I’ve always wanted a room like one of these and I’m determined to fill my house with books. I think even if e books etc do take over on the whole there will always be a place in the world for physical books (it’s completely different from the case of mp3 taking over from C.D’s), they can be artworks in themselves!
I agree Ruth – nothing quite tops the feel/smell/look/presence of a real physical book 🙂
I really want a house with THIS: http://gizmodo.com/358636/stairs-bookcase-actually-makes-me-want-to-move-to-london
Wow!! That first photo totally did my head in, but when I got my bearings – awesome!
i can’t imagine a world without books
nothing compares to the written word on paper
these photos are fabulous and make me want to get off the computer right now and go read a book!
This is wonderful. I have always loved bookstores more than clothing stores because I love feeling book spines and smelling the pages of old novels. I particularly loved the picture where the white bookshelves line the hallway – that is going into my dream house blueprint! Would you mind if I copied the picture for a post on my blog?
Hi Karina – they aren’t my photos, but I’ve linked each one back to where I found it 🙂 Go crazy!
