Oh my goodness gracious me… I got these in the post today and I just HAD to share!
Tomorrow, I’ll be kicking off a series of ‘behind the scenes’ posts that I’ll be sharing with you over the coming months. We’re going to kick off with a tour of my studio, and in future posts I’ll show you my tools, me at work, my design/development process, packaging, and much more about the everyday tasks that exist when you run a jewellery design business.
BUT, I couldn’t wait to show you these!
These beautiful, tasty treats are a small sample of the semi-precious gemstones that will be taking center stage in the upcoming 2012 Epheriell Autumn Collection, which will be out in April. Think long, statement necklaces, geometric clean lines, rough gems, delicate, long earrings, limited edition pieces… that and much, much more.
I’m so excited about this range, I can’t wait for all my goodies to arrive so I can get started on it!
My absolute favourite gems so far are these stunning Afghani lapis lazuli. Totally natural colour – no dyes here!
It’s when I’m in the process of designing a new collection that I really remember why I fell in love with what I do in the first place. The shapes, colours, textures… the endless possibility of creation – it’s so exciting!

I have to say, I was disappointed when I saw that the collection was for autumn. That is, until I realized that I live on the other side of the equator (US)! Oops! Now I’m even more excited!
These are the things that the eye wants to linger longer on. Well mine anyway, I love working with gemstones.
