Recently I re-visited my fave op-shop, and found some gorgeous treasures (which I shall blog at a later date). I also found something that was so horribly awesome that I had to buy it and share. But we’ll get to that…
First! I ordered this handmade dress a while back – and it finally arrived the other day! Yay!
I have to say I’ve fallen a little in love with it. It’s ‘one-size-fits-all’, so you really need a belt to make it sing – here I’ve paired it with a cute belt I picked up at the oppie for about 50c. It’s linen, which I find a little scratchy, but I just wear a slip underneath it.
(Yes, this is the outfit that I wore to the art show in yesterday’s post.)
Dress – NewExtrave
Brooch – That Vintage
Necklace – Epheriell
Earrings – Good Boy Cracky
Boots – Somewhere in Carindale Shopping Centre a year ago…
Okay, now for the horribly awesome. I give you…
So far so good, yeah? I’d actually wear it like this… but then…
And voila! I could be back in the 80s with a vengeance! It even has little shoulder pads!
Dress – Thrifted
Bag – Thrifted
Same Earrings as the last pic.
Shoes – I really must keep better track… in short, can’t remember!
If I knew how to sew, I think I’d do some sort of tricky alteration on this second dress, and somehow incorporate the top into the actual dress – maybe add sleeves? Alas, I will have to let it languish until I learn some sewing skillz…

Loooooove the blue one (without the jacket hehe). The scalloped edging is gorgeous!!! 😀
Looks alright to me!! Maybe without the jacket part, heh heh! It’s a pretty colour.
Haha … I couldn’t WAIT to see the awesome badness of that outfit.
The blue dress is lovely … why oh why would such a pretty dress need to be spoiled with that horrid jacket!
Love your handmade dress – and it looks smashing on!! 😀
Haha – we’re all of the same consensus then! It’s quite lovely without the jacket!! 😀
I love those boots!!!!
