How to stop your necklaces getting tangled while you travel

Happy Monday, all! Since I’m off and away on Thursday, travel is on my mind, and I wanted to share this clever little thing with you.

I’ve seen it around Pinterest quite a bit, and at first, I had NO idea what was going on (when the image was smaller) – till I realised that it’s a necklace threaded through a drinking straw!

I don’t know about you, but I usually take a few necklaces with me when I travel, and they inevitably get snarled into a huge and nasty knot that takes me a good 1/2 hour to unwind… so I think this is brilliant. Thread each necklace through a straw (I reckon you could thread a few through each one), pop them in your jewellery bag, and no more snarly knots!

Do you have any other crafty tips like this for travel?

Hmm.. this had been always my problem when it comes to necklaces specially if the chains are really thin. Thanks for sharing.. This can be really helpful! :)

  • I use a roll up case thingy someone gave me. It works a treat. Has little sections with zips. Makes it really easy when travelling to pull it out and use. I pack it between layers of clothes and know all my jewellery won’t break.
