Very true indeed. I’m trying more and more these days to be grateful for the life and opportunities I have been given. I try to acknowledge my gratefulness a few times a week, just sitting back for a moment in a day, and say “oh this is cool, it’s nice to be in this place, how lucky I am!” 🙂

Have you got a TMJ disorder? Gone to the dentist? Tried a splint? I’ve had it… chronic pain is very hard to deal with it.. you are allowed to whinge sometimes!

Amelia – yep, known I’ve had TMJ since I was a kid – mum does too. Never had any pain before though. Got an NTI splint now… it’s just a long process to fix it all after a dentist buggered my bite up good and proper (not the dentist I see now). It’ll get there eventually… it’s just a little hard to handle some days where you worry it will be there for the rest of your life!
Poor thing… I had a splint for 2 years, got an arthoscopy (which made it worse).. and was looking into some chronic pain clinics. Then my splint broke, I didn’t replace it, and I was a lot better in a few months.. I was sick of wearing the bloody thing at night anyway. Been relatively pain-free for almost 6 years now.. hopefully yours will just magically disappear soon too! Hugs. xx
