Welcome to the weekly Feature and Giveaway! Every Monday, we’ll be featuring a lovely craftsperson, artist, or artisan – and every week you’ll have the chance to win something from their shop!Â
This week we welcome Stacy from Quilting Diva. Stacy is a self-confessed sew-aholic, and makes a large range of lovely fabric goodies.

Where do you live?
Brandon, Florida (right outside Tampa)
What’s your favourite place in the world, and why?
Florida!! Florida was always my favorite place so instead of visiting every year during my vacation, we decided to move here and I couldn’t be happier!
Tell us a little bit more about yourself! Your ‘day job’ or business, family, hobbies…
I met my hubby, Travis, in 1995 and married in 2001. I have a son, Colby who is my favorite little person in the whole world! My interests include the beach, spending time with family (preferably at the beach), amusement parks and SEWING!! I lived in Maine for 29 long years and hated the cold so much that we moved to Florida in 2005. I have been sewing since I was about 14 years old. While I’m sewing, I like to pop in Seinfeld seasons, Anne of Green Gables, Titanic or Will and Grace. I would sew for days if I was given the opportunity. I can’t start my day without my Starbucks Grande 6 pump vanilla latte in a paper cup with my “Stacy” coffee cozy.
What did you want to be ‘when you grew up’?
Probably a teacher, but my life went in a different direction.
How did you first get into your craft/art?
I fell in love with sewing during Home Economics in high school. I’ve been sewing since I was 14 and am a self-professed fabricaholic!!
What do you make?
Small quilts, wall hangings, coffee cozys, purses, totes, coasters, some clothes, etc….
What are you most proud of making?
I’ve made my son’s halloween costumes every year. clothing isn’t my favorite thing so I’m proud that I’ve been able to keep it up. I only missed one year, when we moved to Florida because my stuff was packed!
What do you like the most/least about selling your wares online?
I like it because I have always sewn and sewn and sewn, now I put it up for sale and if it sells then I have more fabric money. The hardest part is pricing and letting people know they are getting a quality item at a good price. Taking photos is difficult so people really don’t know what they are getting.
I love…
…Colby!
It drives me crazy when…
…people run red lights!
What’s your favourite word?
Punkin
If you could sum yourself or your work up in one sentence, it would say…
I’m a mom, wife, sewer and manager… in that order!
