Just a quick one today – because right now, I’m supposed to be organising my studio… shhh…
But I saw this during the week… and then I realised I have embroidery hoops, spare fabric, my mum has a tin of vintage buttons that were my great-grandmother’s, AND Nick found a trashy clock that I could take the mechanism out of..
So – I think I might make one – what do you reckon?

That’s pretty cute! I think one of those would go nicely in my studio!
Oh oh! I’ve had a similar idea in my brain for over a year, I want to cross stitch numbers or images instead of buttons though. I keep forgetting to look for the clock part of it, I never thought of just ripping apart an old clock! I’ll keep my eyes out at op shops.
Zoe – I love your idea!
I think it’s absolutely brilliant and that I’m that I’ve got a clock mechanism in the backshed so may just have to have a go too.

YES!!!! you should totally make a button clock!
What a great idea! You should totally make one. We all should.
They call me “the anti-craft” I’m so inept at creative arts, but this is very clever. 🙂
Hahaa Alison! I’m sure you could make one!
Ohhh, naughty Jess – now I want to make one and I’m supposed to be tidying too!!! LOL.
It’s definitely a cute idea, I might earmark that for a future project…
I think you totally should! I saw they had the clock mechanisms at spotlight a while ago. I think they still stock them. 🙂
SO cute!! That’s such a clever idea … I hope none of your buttons match! 😉
I think you should!!! I saw that clock on etsy last year and was inspired to make one for my sister as a b-day present. She absolutely loved it!!!
