Pink Bow

Yes, I know that those of you with sewing know-how are giggling your heads off at me right now, but I don’t care, because I made something! I’m excited!! Yes, I changed my pic over in the sidebar to this, ’cause I think it’s a cute photo 🙂

I used this tutorial and hand-sewed this little bow prototype.

Pink Bow

Lessons learnt?

I will be using a machine in future, my hand-sewing is too messy and loose.

I will also not experiment on a super-frayable fabric! Bits of pink were flying off everywhere!

Oh well, it’s cute, and it was good practice.

Of course, I couldn’t stop at just one… so I pulled out the sewing machine and made these, too…

Beetles and Butterflies Bow

Bows!

These were made from some of the many bits of fabric I got at the thrift store the other day… as well as a set of sheets that I’m going to use to make a dress! I figure, if I start off with sheets, and stuff it up, it’s not much of a loss, right?

Plus, the fabric is pretty, so if I pull it off, I’ll have a dress. Hurrah!
