Ahh, every time a new issue of *bespoke* goes out into the world, I feel like a proud mama!
I also think every issue is better than the last one, but perhaps that’s just hubris talking.
Anyhoo, I am SO happy that Issue 5 is now in the hands of many, many lovely people – I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks of this Summer Issue!
For those of you who are kinda new around here, *bespoke* is a quarterly independent magazine, published by me, and it’s written for and by the creative and craft community.
Each issue is full of interviews, stories, recipes, reviews, tutorials, art and craft features, vintage goodness and more – wrapped up in a pretty little A5 package.
Yep, that’s right – in this world of e-zines, it’s a tactile treat – a PRINT zine – though it’s also available in digi format for those who prefer that.
Here’s a little peek or two inside this Issue:
Part of our Collaborations Feature
Part of the Thrive Interview with Cherie Interro
An article on how to keep the memories of old handmade items alive… by re-creating them!
{this last photo is by Elle Roberts, the author of this article, from the *bespoke* FB page}
I realised that I haven’t spent much time here on ED detailing the process of creating *bespoke* – would you guys be interested in a little ‘making-of’ series detailing the ins-and-outs and ups-and-downs of self-publishing a magazine?
P.S. I’m looking to interview some crafty blokes for the next issue – so if you know of any, send them my way – jess AT bespokezine.com
P.P.S. Of course, I’m also always looking for submissions of any type – don’t be shy!
P.P.P.S. If you want to know more about what’s under the covers of Issue 5, just click here.

Hi Jess, I know a crafty bloke that might interest you. Having only discovered you and Bespoke recently (like this week!) and having some major back reading to do, I am not sure if you look at people outside of Aus? If you do, may I suggest a closer look at Andy of Fat Spatula? (www.fat-spatula.com) Crafter/Artist/Designer/Graphic Designer (in no particular order) and all round interesting guyfrom here in New Zealand. His Man Shawls are too cool! He is also the president of the Haumoana Mens Knitting Club 🙂
Oh, awesome, thanks Mel! Andy sounds like just the guy I’m looking for 🙂 *bespoke* does focus on Aussies, but I include some content from international sources too…
maybe you could do an issue dedicated to crafty blokes
