Since coming over all crafty and all, I decided that it was high-time I made presents this Christmas. Obviously only for female friends and relatives, though, as I’m yet to crack the skill of making masculine jewellery!
Here are a few of the sea glass pendants I’ve made people so far:
This one was for a good friend and colleague, Liz –
This one I made for my assistant manager, Lydia, who happens to also be Liz’s sister –
And this one is for my partners, mum, Jenny. I know she reads this sometimes, so if so, hello, and I hope you like it 🙂
I’m still in the process of deciding what to make for my Mum… it’s a shame that purple sea glass is so rare, as it’s her favourite colour!
I’ve also bought a few handmade presents off Etsy, and hope to visit our local craft market this weekend to get any additional gifts. There’s something really fulfilling about buying hand made goods, and making things myself for those I love. There’s nothing like the feeling of watching someone open their gift and love it, and know it is something that you have dreamed up and created!
How many of you are making your Christmas gifts this year? Have you done this for a long time, or is it a new thing for you, as it is for me?
Great jewelery, I love things that are wrapped in wire like this. Love the crocheted jewellery too !
Yes I make most of my presents and have done so for many years, last year I made heaps of Salt Body Scrub with essential oils and affirmation cards, and mini Christmas cakes. Wow just got caught up in your daily Mugshot ! That’s quite fun, I like it!
……… Megg
Thank you so much, Meggan! Mmm, mini cakes… and yeah, the Mugshot is a good bit of fun 🙂
I love it, very creative! Especially the 2nd/3rd one just caught my eyes. I think it’ll look good in some of my outfits.
I do less handicraft nowadays, I used to make cards, cross stiches, handmade flowers that made from straw/flowers.. I don’t know where all of those initiatives gone to. When will I ever have time for those ever again? However, I did set up my own Christmas Corner
this year.. hopefully that’ll summon some of the long-lost interest I used to have.
Opps.. typo, I mean flowers that made from straw/ PAPERS. ^^
Very pretty. I keep being asked to make stuff for men… not feeling it though!
