I swear, nothing cool like this ever starts in Australia.

Cruising around the Crafteroo Forums, I came across a post that discussed knitted graffiti. I was intrigued, and investigated further.

There is a whole movement out there – people using old pieces of knitting, and new bits as well, to cover public objects, like lampposts, signs, buses – even whole buildings!

Here are a couple of examples…

That last one was a collective effort coordinated by Jennifer Marsh of the International Fibre Collective. I’m just sorry I missed the deadline to participate in their latest project – a fibre tree!

I wish I was inventive, and could start a movement…
