It’s Anastasia here and I’m a huge fan of Jess and her blog – so thrilled to be guest posting today!

I really enjoyed the post 29 ways to stay creative so I thought I’d share what I do when stuck in a creative rut.

….I look at pretty pictures!

Blogs, and websites like Pinterest and Flickr are a great source of visual inspiration and even curling up with a fresh magazine, catalogue or coffee table style book will get your mind racing.

When I find an image that I love or that makes me look twice to study all the beautiful details, I’ll mark it, bookmark it or add to my favourites.

I’m usually drawn to the colours, the mood or feeling it gives and I take it from there…

Next step is to go through my crafting supplies and I find this step alone starts to get those creative juices going so if you have a spare hour or so get those supplies sorted and organised – I always end up finding supplies I forgot I even had and that’s always exciting right?

Once I gather what I need I make sure I have some time to myself and just go for it, play around and create something lovely….

This is a card I created – inspired by the beautiful image up top from Anthropologie found via Pinterest.
