I often get e-mails from people asking me for advice… and just random questions about me and my work.
I thought it might be fun to ‘throw open the floor’ and have a place here on the blog where you can ask me any question that’s on your mind.
In a week’s time I’m going to do a live chat on ustream to answer your questions!
(The lovely Elsie on A Beautiful Mess does the q&a in text form occasionally, and so I have to thank her for the idea.)
So – if you have a question for me – about crafty business, blogging, social media, or anything else, post it in the comments! I will do my best to answer all the questions, (though if there’s something too personal that I would feel uncomfortable responding to, I reserve the right to pass).
To watch my broadcast, head over to the ustream page here – the broadcast will be on Wednesday the 16th of Feb, at 10am Australian Eastern Standard time (if you’re not sure what time that is where you are, just head over and use the Timezone Converter – I’m in Australia-Queensland-Brisbane).
Oh, and you’ll need a password to watch – it’s craftybiz!
For those of you who can’t watch, but would like to see my answers to your questions, never fear, I will record the broadcast and post it here on the blog. If you can watch, brilliant – there’s a chat window on ustream so we can get some back-and-forth action going.
Hope to see you there!

Hi Jess! just wondering, if I have just registered for my ABN do I have to take my sales from my madeit store into consideration tax-wise? Or is it just stockists? New to all of this!!
thanks in advance, Danielle x
Hi Jess,
Great idea, I’m sure it’s gonna help allot of people.
My question is as a new crafter how many different items/ designs would you recommend me having as a minimum to opening my etsy store? And should I use both etsy & made-it or test the waters in one first?
Thanks, Katie
How can i get more traffic through my blog …i average 80 views a day on my blog but only have 40 soemthing followers. xx
Hey Jess!
Clearly your blog is an integral part of your business. My question is regarding traffic – how do you attract so many viewers? And also, how do you choose what to post? I never know if I’m picking the right thing and ultimately lose confidence. Would love some insight!
Hi Jess! I was just wondering how you get wholesale orders – do you contact them or wait for them to come to you? Thanks 🙂
