Yesterday was a beautiful, bright, sharp winter’s day… and I decided it was a fine day to get out thrifting!
I made my way to 4 local op shops, and I scored quite a haul. But you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see that…
I’ve also been mucking around with picnik lately – these shots have all been edited using the ‘lomo’ filter – what do you think?
I thought I’d throw in some shots of my super-pretty new window-box, too! It’s a bit wonky, but that’s okay, I like to think it adds charm…
This jacket is brand-new-to-me, and I have to admit I’m a little starry-eyed about it – it’s just so lovely! And it fits me like a dream – always a great pleasure when you buy vintage online!
Outfit Deets
Dress – Vintage, bought in Brighton
Jacket – Vintage, bought online at Etsy
Necklace & Earrings – Vintette
Brass Bracelet – bought at Jane Austen House over in the UK – I got to *touch* the table she wrote all her novels on!! *Explodes with geeky bookworm glee*
Silver Bracelet – one of my faves by Georgina Ettridge (Nick’s friend who also made our wedding rings, and who I finally got to meet over in the UK, she’s an absolute doll!)
Ring – Made from one of the V&A buttons I blogged about yesterday!
Shoes – No idea! One of the chain shoe shops…

Loving the yellow and blue/purple combination! And that jacket is super cute — a great buy!
My scant knowledge of the colour wheel is coming into play in this outfit! ;D
So you did make rings with the buttons! How exciting! 🙂 Can’t wait to see the other.
I made rings with some of them! The others I made into… ahh, you’ll have to wait and see ;P
The jacket is awesome. It looks wonderful on you. I love that word wonky! The window box is sweet even though it’s a bit wonky.
Nancy
Thanks so much, Nancy! Hehe, wonky is a great word, isn’t it?
Lovely first pic of you! Cannot believe you can get away in wintertime with what we would consider a summer-weight dress over here – oh to live in Oz! Pretty ring – looking forward to seeing what you’ll do with the other buttons.
Thanks Ann! I know – I’m wearing less over here right now than I was wearing over in the UK… in their summertime! 🙂
so bright and pretty!!! love it!
Oh you’re so cute and floral! I love it

Just popped on to have a look to see what you did with the super cute buttons from yesterday… Love them! The ring looks great, glad u decided on jewelery!
Cute dress by the way! And the planter box with the little pansies in it is adorable… I want one!
Thanks for popping by Alexa! I’m hoping to blog about what I did with all the buttons in the next few days, so stay tuned 🙂
