Most of you know I’m a bit of an anti-Apple girl. But today’s not a day to talk about that. Today’s a day to say that while I might have beef with some things Apple do, there is no doubting that Steve Jobs was a genius, a visionary, and someone who changed our world forever.
I wanted to share this video, because I came across it on twitter this morning when the news about Steve Jobs’ death exploded into the global consciousness.
It made me cry. Because damn, this man lived his passion. And in this video, he shares his thoughts on life, death, and how you should never settle. Because every day could be your last. Watch it.
RIP Steve.
though i’m a pc girl, and too can appreciate this man’s passion and genius. i just read a quote from this speech and it pretty much sums it up.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life,†Jobs said. “Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.â€
hello
you are right ,anyone should be hungry because of the death of steve jobs ,he was a great man who make a whole changes in technology and he was one of the reason that made Apple is great company .
I like that. I might repost it. A lot of what he says makes so much sense to me…. things I’d decided for myself when I was facing breast cancer.
Why are you an anti-apple girl?
I’m practical – so I don’t like that they charge so much for technology I can get for much cheaper elsewhere. And their proprietary file system drives me mental 🙂
