Ah, my second week of holidays has been a good one – except for this darn cold that’s hanging around!
My mailbox was running hot – I love getting gorgeous little packages full of beautiful bits and pieces!
I received my reward for contributing to this installation at the National Gallery of Australia (psst, if you look at the pole in the last photo, I do believe the red piece in the middle is mine!) – a knitted ring from grrl+dog.
I also received both my prints from Sam over at Matou en Peluche, and my prints from Yellena. I found some awesome inexpensive frames, and I’m in the middle of figuring out where to hang them all!
My Dad has come over for a visit this evening – and he had a little gift for me too…
A gorgeous panel beater’s hammer to use to make my jewellery! What a Dad – he knows what his little girl needs ;D
Speaking of gifts – I’m currently knitting a scarf for my Mum for her birthday – though I may not have it ready by her actual birthday… I need to work on this whole ‘getting organised’ thing.
Isn’t that yarn just gorgeous?! I have another skein in blue tones for myself – I can’t wait to knit that one. Though knowing me, I won’t have it done in time to wear it this winter!
In the spirit of  ‘getting organised’, I actually sat down and sorted out my paperwork for the last year today – eep! Going through all of my receipts, I got slightly terrified about how much money I’ve spend on this little business of mine over the last year – I haven’t added it up yet – I don’t know if I’m quite ready for the truth on that one!
To finish off a week of lovely things, I ventured out today to buy the brand-new album by the gorgeous Australian Indie songstress, Sarah Blasko. I have seen her in concert once, and love both of her previous albums, and this one hasn’t disappointed. And isn’t this the most gorgeous cover artwork ever?
If you’ve never heard her work, here’s the first single from her new album As Day Follows Night… this is the most gorgeous, ethereal film clip.
So, I will be finishing off an order for an initials necklace this weekend, as well as my gifts for Handmade Pay It Forward. I hope you all had a goodie-filled week, too!

That is one really really awesome week of goodies. I love all the prints and I have the new Sarah Blasko too. Brilliant.
Thanks Jacquie!
The knitted ring is amazing! I didn’t know until now it was actually possible. Love the yarn for your Mum’s scarf! Divine.
