I know, I know, this blog has nothing to do with movies… but when I came to do this post this trailer was what popped into my head! I saw it this morning, and did a girlie fan-girl squee.
I ADORE The Lord of The Rings (the movies and the books – yes, I have done the marathon of all three movies, the *extended* cuts), and I’m so excited to see so many of the characters from those movies in this one. Gandalf looks exactly the same, and I think Martin Freeman makes an excellent young Bilbo. And Stephen Fry is in it. What more could you ask for, really?
The first movie is still a whole year away… but you can be sure I’ll be seeing this one at the cinema – a rare event for me these days!
How about you? Are any of you LOTR fan-girls too? And not just because of Orlando Bloom (though I’m more an Aragorn girl, really).

Hi Jess, I couldn’t work out where to write directly to you, I am rather tired as I have been in Ballarat all day, and spent over 2 hours at the B. B.Hospital waiting to see my doctor who got held up with a difficult birth, by the time we got home it was 8PM, and I am exhausted but I wanted to contact you. Firstly I want to apologise to you because I have not yet sent you the clothes I promised, I’m afraid things have got away from me lately I am still not organised for Xmas and tomorrow the power is being turned off for most of the day, great timing. I haven’t forgotten the clothes, some of them are hanging behind me as I type. I have finally sent all the parcels to Perth and Darwin for Xmas, yours will be next on the list. My next surgery has been put off for a while, until another problem is sorted. My new ‘bestoke’ arrived in the mail today, but I received two envelopes, I opened one and left the other until I checked with you, as I presume I have been sent two copies by mistake, as soon as I hear from you I will return the second one. I like your outfit for the party, the brooch is lovely. Thirdly I wanted to check if you sent the pair of earrings I won a while back, as I never received any. I must go as I am off to bed very soon. I hope you and your family have a lovely Xmas and wish you a healthy, happy New Year, warm regards Marion Downie
Squee!! I cannot wait for this movie!! I love Lord of The Rings, but have always been more of a fan of The Hobbit, so that they are finally making it into a movie is this nerds idea of heaven! ANd I have to say, I’m more of an Aragorn fan too!
