Nine Lives is a little gallery tucked away down an alley in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. If you didn’t know where to look, you might miss it… which would be a very big shame. Especially at the moment, with Paper Tales on display!
I attended the show with my lovely friend and fellow Brisbane blogger, Tracey Sargent.
Paper Tales is a group show curated by the talented duo of Bec Winnel and Courtney Brims.
Here’s a little peek at some of the art in the collection…
1, 2 & 3 – Courtney Brims
4 & 6 – Bec Winnel
5, 7, 8 & 9 – Lilly Piri
10, 11 & 12 – Leah Bartholomew
13, 14 & 15 – Beci Orpin
Erin Flannery
Tracey and I in front of work by Nicholas Chalmers and Caitlin Shearer.
It’s a small show, but there is so much to look at – many of the works have amazing detail, which you really need to take time to absorb.
It’s on until December 30, so you’ve got plenty of time to go visit – but if you wanted to buy an orginal by any of the featured artists, I wouldn’t wait too long – we were there on opening night, and things were already selling in the first hour!
Photos by Jess Van Den (excepting the photo of me and Tracey, taken by one of the lovely guys at the gallery).
