Okay, I need help!
I have been thinking about designing a logo for Epheriell – and I’ve had a few ideas. However, I’m not yet sure exactly what to do.
I want something representative of my name, of the feel of my work… especially of my newer silver jewellery, as I’m planning on moving in that direction when I get set up for silversmithing.
I also want something simple enough to be used on product packaging, advertising, etc. Think of all the great logos – they’re clean and versatile, while unmistakably representing their company. For example, you know who these belong to, right?
Not that I’m ever going to become a big multinational, mind you, but you catch my drift!
So, I would like to ask for your input, wonderful readers! What image comes to mind when you think of Epheriell? What do you think would work?
Look forward to reading your feedback. And thanks!
I think you should go with something really timeless… maybe even just the name or initials written in a creative way. That way if you ever change the kind of jewellery you make, or the style, you won’t have to change your logo to match…
It’s so hard tho… and I suck at decisions like this!
hello, I think modern, elegant simple chic, but an idea for your logo??? I like the spirals. can’t wait to read what others say, good luck!
Hey yeah! And the spirals kinda look like an ‘E’ don’t they?!
I always think Ethereal! and it makes me think of angels/elves/woodland fairies..kind of Lord of the Rings if that makes sense? 🙂
Whenever people do the ‘fairy/angel’ type whimsical themes they get a bit carried away with the purple and glitter though….maybe something more sleek in simple monochrome? B&W cut out flower stamp or stencil face/figure?
What does ‘Epheriell’ actually mean though?!
Okay, Epheriell is a combo of ‘ethereal’ and ‘ephemeral’. 🙂 Came up with it as my online handle years and years ago, and decided to stick with it as my brand!
I think, if you wanna stick with your new stuff, something a bit more industrial? A logo stamped onto a metal sheet, or cut out of metal, or something. That doesn’t help with the actual logo though does it!
I think I agree with Katef up there who commented first – maybe your shop name written in an interesting and eye catching way – maybe so it vaguely looks like your wonderful jewellery?
I love the spiral suggestion. I think it would draw to a wide range, esp the alternate types I sense you are targeting.. (?)
a simple design like that would be easy enough to make into a stamp (even the trusty spud!) for business cards. thank you notes etc…
