Happy Friday, all! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Nick and I are going to hang out with some friends Sat night, and I’ve got a big run on Sunday morning, so I skipped my swim this morning in an attempt to recover from this week’s Booty Camp (that’s a boot camp, but just for ladies ;D) punishment.
This week’s faves are sweet, fruity and colourful… with a little dash of fun. Enjoy – and hey, if you leave a comment, make sure to let me know what your fave is out of my faves, ‘kay?
Also – remember, if you make something that fits into one of these categories, feel free to tweet me – @JessVanDen – using the hashtag #EDFridayFaves  – and link me up to your awesomeness!
Adorn
I love the laser-cut designs by Brisbane local and my friend Melanie from Kimono Reincarnate. So sweet and delicate!
Craft
How darn cute is this? Imagine a whole tiny army of these taking over a windowsill – or perhaps randomly dotted in secret places around your house. I don’t have the best track-record with greenery, so this would be a perfect fit for my terribly laissez faire gardening style.
Style
Another Brisbane local – and a brand I always keep my eye on – Alice Nightingale – has released a gorgeous fruit-inspired summer swimwear range this year. This retro pineapple two-piece is my fave – so fresh and fun!
Food
{Stylepot}
Peach and elderflower sorbet with lemon mascarpone cream. It also has Moscato in it. Do I really need to say more? I WILL be making this.

I think it would be very hard to damage this gorgeous packaging from Amelia Rope Chocolates. It’s so darn pretty! But who am I kidding, right? If it keeps me from my chocolate, it’s not going to last long…

You’ve probably seen this before – it’s been around for a few years now. But I’ve always thought it was a fab idea – wallpaper you can colour in? Brilliant.

How awesome is this? Cloud-shaped neon lights for the bathroom. It looks so incredibly plain, but with the addition of those lights, the room takes on a big dash of… yes, I’m going to say it… whimsy.

Truly gorgeous. I haven’t had a chance to read the current edition of Sweet Paul yet, but it’s on my list.
Printable
After Christmas and New Years, there are often people in our lives who deserve thanks. So, here are some printable cards to let you do just that.
Inspire
Many days when I wake up, I most certainly do NOT feel as though I can move mountains. I can barely move myself out of my comfy bed! But really, I know – deep down – that I can. I was raised to believe (thanks Mum and Dad!) that I can do anything I put my mind to, and the Universe would get out of my way – or possibly even help me. Perhaps you need a reminder that you can, too?
Have a fab weekend, all – I’m off to do an 11k (!!!) run on Sunday morning – the furthest I’ve ever run. My only goal is to finish – and hopefully to run the whole way. Wish me luck!
{And if you’re in Brisbane, and feel like a challenge, it’s the Resolution Run at the Botanic Gardens, I think they still have a few spots left.}
favourite? It HAS to be chocolate. Chocolate + colour. What more is there?
(Mind you, that bikini is pretty damn sweet.)
Exactly 🙂
love the Kimono Reincarnate pendant & the peach dessert sound delicious… & then there’s the chocolate.
I’m really bad at picking my favourite, in case you couldn’t tell, lol
But you tried, and that’s the most important thing!
The Alice Nightingale suit is adorable!
Isn’t it just? Truly, the whole range is gorgeous 🙂
Hi Jess, Love the Friday Faves-Good Luck on your run. You Go Girl! Never knew there was wallpaper you could color in. Loved the Chrysanthemum necklace! I Love Chocolate and that looked Heavenly!
Thank you Marion! The run was HOT, but good!
How did the run go?
I love so many of these Friday favs. Plants growing from corks, that gorgeous pineapple shot, the chocolate, the cloud light, the beautiful flowers from Sweet Paul. You have an eye!
It was HOT! But I did it – with a little bit of walking 😉
I’m only just starting to catch up on my emails, and what a joy to find my piece featured! Thank you Jess! I love that “Let her sleep…” quote, I’m putting that up above my daughter’s bed – it describes her to a T.
