Today I’m launching a fun series here on Epheriell Designs. And it’s all about you.

I was thinking the other day about all of the cool handmade things I own – and then I stumbled across Lookbook. You know, that site where people can submit photos of themselves looking all stylish and cool? (I’m sure I’d never get on there in a million years…)

“Well,” I thought – “why not have a handmade version?” So, that’s what I’ve decided to do – albeit on a slightly smaller scale. After all – the handmade movement is really all about us. Those of us who create; who love to buy things that another human being has put care and love into; who love to support micro-business. If you’re here, reading Epheriell Designs, you care about all of these things,  and chances are, you exercise that love when you shop.

The idea is this:

Each week, I’d like to feature a photo/photos of an awesome handmade fashionista (okay, you don’t really have to be a fashionista, god knows I’m not) wearing her (or his!) fave handmade bits and pieces. The idea is to wear an ensemble that is as handmade as possible (and, hey, why not surround yourself with handmade decor, too!); and submit a photo of you in your awesomeness, along with a bit more info (which I’ll detail below). Then, I’ll put you up here for the world to marvel over!

Just so there aren’t any cold feet out there, I’ve decided to start with yours truly.

And so…. here goes…

Jess is wearing:

I have SO many more pieces of handmade loveliness… but I wanted to wear as much as possible without looking like a jewellery tragic!

And so, it’s over to you, dear reader.

If you’d like to be featured, please send me an e-mail at jessica AT epherielldesigns.com, with the following:

  • your name
  • a photo (or a few) of you in your handmade lovelieness
  • information (like above) of where each of your handmade items comes from (if you didn’t buy it online, the name of the maker, or where you bought it/were given it)
  • a little blurb about you and your love of handmade (if you like 🙂
  • a link to your shop/blog/twitter – basically if you’re around online, tell us where we can find you

I am really dying to see some wonderful people wearing wonderful handmade things – so please get in touch!!
