She’s here!
I was insanely pleased last week when my lovely new dress form arrived! She is everything I wished for, and I can’t wait to put her to work in her new position as my jewellery (and possibly clothes??) model.
I took her through a bit of a trial run to see how she looks – and I’m super-happy with her work! The neutral colours! The lovely shape! The sexy legs!

Modelling the new Peaceful Garden Necklace from Vintette
However – I have a dilemma! She is far to lovely and anthropomorphic to keep calling her ‘the dress form’ – so I need a name.
Can you help me, dear reader? Can you suggest the perfect name for my lovely girl?
Those of you who follow me on twitter and facebook would have already perhaps made some suggestions last week – make sure to enter here by putting your suggestion below! We had lots of gorgeous ye-olde girl’s names crop up.
The winner will be the person who suggests the name I finally choose for her! I’ll make a choice by Saturday (the 27th of August 11) of the week, and announce it here.
So – what does the winner win? I think perhaps your choice of goodies from Vintette, up to $25 in value! So leave a comment below with your suggestion, and go browse Vintette to see what pretty you might choose.
P.S. These two necklaces are in-store now!

Hilde… it was what popped into my head when I saw it…
I had a dress form that I eventually sold when we moved. There just wasn’t room for the old girl in the moving truck. Her name was Agnes. That’s the name I’m going to suggest for yours.
Nancy
@Nancy, Agnes was the first name I thought of when I saw her!
Or maybe Bessie?
A classy lady like that needs a classy name, with a bit of life and energy, and not too old fashioned because we wouldn’t want her to feel old! I suggest Lucille. π
Miss Edith was the first name that popped into my head when I saw her.
I also like the name Rosalind. π
Gladys… don’t know why, but that is what she reminds me of.
Evette is the name that pops in my head. Can’t wait to see what you name her.
Esther – I love that name.
I would call her Betty Draper, mainly because I am a fan of Mad Men and Betty was a model herself.
I came back to change my answer. Betty Draper is the PERFECT name!
She’s a lady. Her name could be Lottie.
And her middle name could be Lynn.
Lottie Lynn VanDen.
Yep. What do you think??
the first thing that came to my mind was ‘LUCY’ π
I think you should call her LOLA, its always reminds me of old school glamour π and was the first name that popped into my head when I saw her curves
How about Lovely Loretta? hehe
Well Jess, I think she looks like a Ruby to me! Stylish, sassy and a real gem! x
I thought maybe Maude at first, but then “Ellie” popped into my head too – maybe because she looks so elegant? (Elli-gant?! Now I’m just being silly, aren’t I?) But I do hope you find the perfect name for her π
She’s a Sadie if ever I met one.
How about ‘Baby’ if you plan to not keep her in the corner?
Or Blanche, due to her neutral tones?
Or Norma Jean, for her stunning shape?
Good luck on finding the right name for her… π
Oh she’s lovely! I’ll go with Evangeline just because I think it’s a beautiful, old fashioned name. Perhaps Evie for when you’re in a hurry. π
I think you should call her Gerdy. Because she will be girt (surrounded) by material and other goodies. And on occasion she will make you laugh like a giggling gerdy.
I suggest Desiree (To be Desired) π
May all your creations be desired cos ‘alle groovin’, xx
Roberta is what came to me…womanly and classy(but has a few little secrets)
This is cool to see what names people think of
~smiles~
She is definently a Betsy!
she wants to be called tightey whitey!!!!!!or TW for short!!!
Sophie, that’s the name that came to mind. A beautiful, down-to-earth girl.
Farrah

Miss Violet White pops in when I look at her, she is very, very stylish isn’t she. She is definitely one classy lady, elegant, refined and in charge.
Cynthia, most definitely Cynthia.
When I 1st saw her, I thought ‘Diana’. THE real Diana was oftern referred to as a clothes horse and what a beautiful one she was. And this one is a beauty too. Then I thought of a last name…Doors, because your clothes are always photographed in front of doors. You have even introduced us to this Gem in front of a door,
So Diana Doors and you could call her DD or DeeDee for short…
Jane
Ok not always in front of doors, but often.
I’m thinking Martha. No idea why, but Martha just seems right. Or Lucy!
Call her Emmy as in the movie ‘Mannequin”. Well she is award winning isn’t she? :o)
I thought Cecilia when I saw her – she is fabulous!
Bella-Maria or Belle
the first name that popped into my head is
ASTRID!
cute!! and a fun competition…
She is so shapely, but hides behind that “body stocking”. I think she has a hidden personality that will bloom with the accessories you give her Jess. She’s a Dolores!
Her name is Nell. Simple, but sweet and old-fashioned. Suitable for the modern girl as well; I have a daughter called Nell. You can call her Nellie for long, when you feel like it.
JOAN….. Good solid name for a lady who is hard working but definitely glamourous …..
How about Georgette, at times can be Georgie Girl.
Or Chameleon as she is always changing her outer clothing, can be shorten to Chammy. Or I can be cheeky and say Charlotte can be shorten to Lottie or Charmaine both can also be shorten to Charlie. When I think of names more then one always pops into my head. Have fun although choosing may be hard with all the great suggestions.
Ohh, what a lovely dress form! She’s definitely a “Veronica”, a pretty, vintage name. π
I’d call her Sheila! (Lucy is awesome too!) Good luck and gratz on the new form!!!
Ivy. Love how it pairs with both Epheriell and Vintette!
She’s a lovely lady form, therefore should be named “Mildred”. An old-fashioned, pretty name with added strength.
I can’t believe no one has said it yet…but she.is.Polly.
No doubt about it.
Oh..and where did you get her. I want..no..NEED one too!?
Thea, I found her here – http://www.raxanddollies.com.au/
how about ‘DAISY’ from the Great Gatsby π
I’m thinking “Betty Sue”. Where did you get her BTW, I need her!

Bre, I found her here – http://www.raxanddollies.com.au/
Lady Anastasia sounds very aristocratic, the perfect fit for the perfect form!
I love the Sneakers Necklace, it’s so funky!
Sylvia!
What a beautiful gal! What about Elsie or Rose? I can’t wait to see what you pick!
My suggestion is: ‘Modeleine’. It seems appropriate for a feminine form who models. xx
