… I am really, really, really excited about going to Paris!
The whole trip to the UK and France is going to be a dream come true, but I have a special part of my heart that is jumping up and down in giddy glee about the fact that I will be standing in Paris in less than a month’s time.
I don’t even really have any plans for specific places to visit – except the obvious – I just want to BE there.

I have spent a little time over the last year or two learning some basic French, though I have to say I’m slightly terrified that I will have NO idea what’s going on! At least I know how to say hello, thank you, I would like, where is the.., please, and sorry – so hopefully at least I won’t offend anyone!
I am very glad that after a few days in Paris, we’re going to stay with my aunt and uncle in their little French village – I think spending time with locals will be a whole other wonderful experience!
I can’t wait to take lots of photos and tell you all about it…
P.S. we leave on Sunday!!! I’ll try to drop in again before we fly out, but if I don’t manage to – wish us a safe flight and I’ll be blogging to you from England next week! Squeee!!

Oh I am so excited too! I will be in Paris in about 2 months and I cannot wait. Barcelona and Paris are two that I cannot wait for. Along with Amsterdam of course!!
Can’t wait to hear about your trip.
xx
I’ll be there in mid-July! We’ll only miss each other by a few weeks 😀
You’ll have to tell me what the ‘Fatherland’ is like! I’m hoping for a Netherlands trip next time 🙂
Oh I am so excited for you (and a wee bit jealous)! I stopped in the Paris airport on my way to New Delhi earlier this year, but that’s not the same experience at all really! Have a marvelous trip! 🙂
Thanks so much Kelsey!
oh my. Have an amazing time. I only got a weekend in Paris while I was in Europe and I wish it was longer. I loved the Orsay. I could have spent the entire trip there.
We only have a few days there, but I have the feeling I’ll want to go back!
Have an amazing time, I’m sure you will! I can’t wait to read all about it and drool over the photos. Oh, and please eat a macaroon or ten for me!
Oh, I will have NO problem with that request, Mel! ;D
I’m so jealous! I have always wanted to go to France, but can never afford it. Can’t wait to see pictures so I can pretend it was my vacation. 🙂
Congratulation that your dream of watching Uk and paris come true. You have expressed your trip in such a experienced travel writer’s style. I am feeling that I m in Paris when reading this post.
