Today on the blog I’m welcoming my friend Mallory, the lady behind the awesome Miss Malaprop.

While I’ve always considered myself very crafty, one thing I’ve never felt particularly strong at is traditional art. Drawing, painting… I can see the image clearly in my head but when I try to put it down on paper or canvas it never seems to come out the same.

So I’ve found myself blown away by artists who can not only paint and draw beautiful designs, but can also do so on an intricately small scale, like those artists who choose jewelry as their canvas.

What do you think? Is painting on jewelry more challenging than painting on canvas?
