On Saturday (which is supposed to be my day off… I do try!) I went for a wander around the property to find some flowers for my desk. A while back I picked up these vases at the op shop, and each week I make an effort to go pick some lovely flowers to brighten up my studio.

I adore the fact that we have so many different plants here – I can always find something in bloom, no matter what time of the year it is!

And as much as I love having the flowers in here with me – it’s really the journey of finding them that is my favourite part. Putting on a big straw hat, grabbing some scissors, and wandering around the property looking for colour – it’s a way for me to relax and be purposeful at the same time.

Not to mention, it gets me up and out of this chair!
