I think blackboard walls/spaces are really groovy (and I really love the word groovy, have you noticed? Perhaps I should have been young in the 70’s…).
Although, I really hate it when I write on blackboard and it screetches *shudder*. I had lots of practice when I was training to be a teacher though… anyways, I’d love to have one in my dream house, even if it’s just a door or part of a wall.
(A whole-wall chalkboard – right next to a window so it doesn’t darken the room.)

{Another lovely whole-wall board!}

What a great idea. I love the patchwork board, wonder how they got the different shades!
My advice…do NOT use the spray blackboard paint. It goes EVERYWHERE (like chalk dust) and doesn’t cover as well as the regular stuff. Tried to do a kitchen cupboard once, with the spray and it was a disaster!
Oh no Jess!!! Thanks for the heads up on that! 🙂
Have you read my mind? I was just thinking this morning that I might dedicate a skinny wall in my kitchen to blackboardy goodness…
You know what they say about great minds..
I love the chalkboard calendar!
I love the calendar idea. My friend, a fellow photographer and her actor husband have a huge glass splashback wall in their kitchen that they as a calendar (using whiteboard markers). It’s great!
Kell, that’s a great idea!
