Well, Saturday day was great – as I’m about to tell you all about in my next post!
But first Saturday Night! A few friends and I went to a very new venue in West End, called ‘the hi-fi’. The Grates had been on the night before, but we were there to see Kate Miller-Heidke.
The support acts were great! The one that stuck out for me was End of Fashion – an Aussie rock band. You may have heard their song Oh Yeah…
But the true star was Kate. I was expecting a quite chilled-out, acoustic show, as I’ve only ever really listened to her early work – but wow was I wrong!
Her newer songs are rocky/pop/edgy… really way too hard to describe. She had the crowd laughing their heads off at her newly written song about an ex wanting to become her friend on Facebook… but I hope that comes out on her next album!
Here are some of the awesome songs she perfomed..
Can’t shake it –
Caught in the crowd –
Words –
Mama –
If you ever have the chance to see her and her band live, I highly recommend it!
I’ve seen KMH a few times now & each time has been brilliant! She’s an amazing talent!
