I’m having ‘one of those days’ – you know, where little things keep going wrong, and frustration levels are rising, rising!
So, I thought I’d take a little break from work, and do something that I’ve been considering for a while now! And, well, doing something nice for other people is always a good way to get rid of the grumps, right?
So! Today I’m announcing a bit of an impromptu giveaway! My January Giveaway is still ticking along, but I wanted to do something different – a giveaway of sponsor space here on Epheriell Designs.
This blog has been growing in leaps and bounds lately (a big thank you to all my new – and not-so-new – readers for being here!) and I thought that I might be able to help one micro-business get a little bit more exposure by offering a 3-month Standard ad space – for free! (edit – I forgot to mention – if you were to purchase this space, it would cost $140)
With a 3-month spot, the winner will not only get a button ad in the sidebar, but also a Sponsor Love post on the blog highlighting their awesomeness! In December, the blog got over 45,000 pageviews – so it’s going to be some nice exposure for someone!
Here’s the deal:
- You can nominate yourself, or someone else (and the same person can nominate as many other businesses as they like!). The person nominated must have an online handmade, vintage, or craft supply business – OR a handmade/crafty/design blog (P.S. if you nominate someone else, please let them know so they can come have a look).
- Leave your nomination in the comments (with a link to the business you are nominating, please!) with a few sentences about why you think this business deserves to snaffle some free advertising.
- I will consider all nominations, and make a decision as to the winner this time next week, after which I will announce it here on Epheriell Designs.
- This competition is not open to past or current advertisers on Epheriell Designs – I’d like to give someone brand new a chance!
That’s it! Get nominating folks!

I am nominating my little business, ReArtingDotNet. Why?
Well, I am doing something completely unique (as far as I know). I bring new life to vintage artwork with watercolor, pens and paint.
But since I love my computer, I’ve found a way to do this digitally. I am also expanding my digital ReArting into my DigiVisi Journal Pages. I like making virutal messes – no cleanup!
Here are some of my DigiVisi Pages:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/58055442@N03/sets/72157625728424975/
ReArting is fun, relaxing and I would love more folks to know about my little fledgling birdie business!
Thanks so much for this opportunity, Jess. 🙂
Hi Jess,
I would like to nominate my business Hay Creations Handcrafted Jewellery for the Sponsor Giveaway.
Why?! I believe the online exposure would provide a much needed boost to my business profile & online handmade jewellery concept which is: beautiful, distinctive, handmade vintage inspired semi precious jewellery for women.
I would also be honoured to be in such fine company of other designers & artists!
Regards
Mel
Hi Jess,
First of all , thanks for being so generous 🙂
I would like to nominate my business Doodle Kreations – Bright colorful artwork on stationery and art prints for the giveaway.
I believe my art puts a smile on people’s faces because its heartfelt. Its bright, colorful and whimsical. The extra exposure from your blog might help the business reach the likes of people who enjoy the whimsy side of life.
Best,
Lakshmi
Sorry ..the link to my shop :
http://www.etsy.com/shop/doodlekreations
I’ll nominate my business – nisse.works (http://nisseworks.com/)- for your giveaway.
Why nisse.works? I’m a relatively new business that’s still struggling to bring attention to handmade/local goods in my area. People here would rather buy the same mass produced stuff as their neighbours than support local manufacturers and artisans.
This is an awesome giveaway, Jess – thanks!
Oh gosh, Jess, I would LOVE a chance for my budding label, Two Cheeky Monkeys, to be advertised on your blog!
I sell vintage-inspired jewellery, accessories and art in both Etsy (http://dspdavey.etsy.com) and Madeit (http://madeit.com.au/TwoCheekyMonkeys). I believe my designs are a sweet modern twist on vintage designs and many of my pieces utilise vintage or vintage reproduction cabochons, beads and findings.
As for why – well, I have sacrificed a lot, career-wise, to raise my children to the best of my abilities. It is so hard for me to find the time to properly promote and market my label, so I would love to catch a break and be able to expand my fan base. 🙂
I would like to nominate WarmSigh. WarmSigh is a new business and Eliza has been busy preparing for the 2011 markets. When the floods devestated Brisbane she wanted to help in whatever way she could, so she donated a lot of soap to the flood effort, both in selling it and donating the money, as well as donating the soap to people who had need of it, to giving cakes of soap the volunteers who were out there getting muddy in their efforts with cleaning up.
The website is http://www.warmsigh.com“
Hi!
I have spent the last 4 months deployed to Antarctica… and could really use a boost in my advertising… as I have been really out of the loop. I am almost done and heading back home to Denver, Colorado. And am ready to kick back in gear.
Antarctic Summer…
Land of flight and white
Windy. Desolate. and bright.
Light both day and night
Ice the only thing in sight
here is a link to my shop….

Thanks!

What an amazing opportunity! How nice of you to have had such a hard day and then the first thing you think of is something to help others! I tried posting a comment before but I guess it didn’t work so here it goes again:
I would like to nominate my shop (www.yirehjewelry.etsy.com). 90% of all of the proceeds from my shop go to raising money for mission trips to Indonesia and for supplies for all of the locals that I have met there. I especially am working to raise money for a little girl Sumi and her family who live on the island of Nusa Lembongan and are seaweed farmers. They inspire are such hard workers and truly inspire me and I am in love with Indonesia. So…. (I’m rambling, haha I’m just so passionate about it) I’m new to etsy and have really been trying to get the word of my shop out there and spread the cause!
Thanks for the opportunity!
the link didn’t highlight so I’ll post it again for your convenience http://www.yirehjewelry.etsy.com
thanks =]
Hi Jess,
What a great opportunity to reach a whole new set of potential customers 🙂 I would love to throw my (pirate) hat into the ring. We are already linked through Facebook and I will gather Twitter as well. My shop promotes eco-friendly bottle cap jewelry and some glass etching. I am looking forward to adding “other” items to my shop in the future. I am also a high school art teacher in Compton, CA and love working with teenagers (most of the time).
I will also promote your blog in return!
Thank you for your consideration.
Pir8t aka Randi of:
http://www.pir8t.etsy.com
I also would like to nominate Moags & Smeet art Jewellery.
Lovely beaded jewellery . Laura is also active in the blogging world and she has done a good job in promoting other handmade businesses.
http://www.etsy.com/shop/moagsandsmeet
I’m a past advertiser, so I will simply add – hope you cheer up soon.
…And great comp! I have shared the link on Facebook.
I lOVE that photo !!
Hey Jess,

http://www.etsy.com/shop/artly
http://www.etsy.com/shop/artlyadorned
http://www.madeit.com/ArtlyAdorned
..and you can find me on facebook somewhere..
Why? Because I have a dream, and i want to make it my reality. My dream is to have my own cafe/gallery where i’d exhibit my own and other artists and muscians work. I am so passionate about creating and making things, it brings me such joy. I am determined to make my dream come true, and i could use some help 🙂
This year I made it my resolution to quit my part-time day job by Thanksgiving. Ad space on such a wonderful, and popular, blog as this would certainly help me reach that resolution. I’m striving every month to cheer up homes all over the world with my pen and ink illustrations and I think your blog is a site where beautiful people come to find beautiful work. Thank you for this opportunity. http://www.studiomme.com
You’re so generous, Jess!
I nominate myself, and my little blog/shop agiraffeinascarf.wordpress.com and http://www.etsy.com/shop/agiraffeinascarf. Because I’m putting all of myself and my energy into trying to get this micro-business to WORK and I can’t afford much advertising yet. And things are going kind of slow, it’s only been a couple of months, and a couple of sales, which I’m thrilled about, but I have the time and the motivation to take it to the next level! Also, my cross stitch brooches are unique and super cute! 😀
Hello Jess,
I would love to nominate my business Thorson Photography for a few very good reasons….
1. I’m really, really good looking.
2. I’m probably the best photographer in all the world, the problem is that no one really seems to know that yet.
3. I’m really, really good looking.
Seriously it would be wonderful if you could check out my website (www.thorsonphotography.com) and my blog (blog.thorsonphotography.com). I love taking photos.
Amanda
I’m nominating Spoon e-zine for the advertising spot. I got the first issue and fell in love. Issue #2 is coming out shortly. http://www.spoonzine.com/
Hello Jess,
First of all, I would like to comment on your blog. It’s very professional and well laid out, not like those that are all clogged up and full of nothing.
I would like to nominate our website, http://www.tdccandlesandbath.com
Some say that our business isn’t a craft, but I strongly disagree. We craft everything by hand, hence the name Ten Digit Creations. We have amazing candles, melts, and B&B products and just need to get the word out. We pride ourselves on EXCELLENT customer service and lightning fast shipping. 🙂 Thanks!!
I would also like to nominate our fan page on Facebook; http://www.facebook.com/tendigitcreations
Why: Because you’d be passing up some great deals that are only announced on our fan page! Example, last night we ran a special for 2hrs only, free shipping on all US orders over $35.
I’d love to nominate myself for the sponor spot! I currently blog all things crafty, and am in the process of creating goodies to sell in my Etsy store. Cards, albums, garlands etc – you name it, I’m working on it! As for why? well, simply put. I need to create – I need to have busy hands! And I want to share my creations with others. Teh world is changing, no lobnger content with mass marketed, poorly made products, and I think my unique goodies deserve a chance to shine! I’d love the opportunity to advertise here at Epheriell because, as we all know, exposure is key, and believe your audience might just take a fancy to some handmade heaven!
Blog: http://artfulfancies.blogspot.com
Store: http://litabells.etsy.com
Thanks for the chance Jess!
I nominate my biz: http://www.shaggybaggy.com
Creating repurposed designs . .. and a life with purpose.
I am just starting to venture out into the world of online advertising and would love this opportunity to work/advertise with you and jumpstart my business. Thanks.
Lovely idea! I am nominating my art and tree chatter blog of whimsical ramblings and handmade oogling. The more magic shared in the world, the better!
Lovely idea! I am nominating http://aquariannArt.blogspot.com – my art and tree chatter blog of whimsical ramblings and handmade oogling. The more magic shared in the world, the better!
Hi there Jess
What a fab thing it is that you are doing! I would like to nominate my business – Creative Arty Facts. I am a Brisbane based artisan and maker of hand made glass beads. Each bead is made by me in glass studio and then used to create unique jewellery. I am the sole operator of my business and usually do everything from make, photograph, upload and promote my jewellery. http://www.creativeartyfacts.com.au is my website and my blog followers can read a little more about my ramblings here: http://www.creativeartyfacts.blogspot.com
Thanks again, Liz
I’ve just started my first Etsy store, selling hand-made paper goods and art pieces. It’s my first time working for myself like this, and given how many small business fail in the first year I could use all the help I can get! My dream is to be able to quit my day job eventually…
My business is:
Brown Paper Bunny

My blog is:

I would love, love, love the chance for some advertising help on Epheriell!

Hi Jess, I haven’t entered a giveaway before, but this is a goodie!
I would love to promote Betty Jo Designs on your blog.
All Betty Jo stuff happens here:
Lino Forest
cheers
Liz
Hi Jess! What a generous and fabulous giveaway! I would definitely love the chance to win the featured spot.
At Kellie Christie I make statement button jewellery and have recently added handmade buttons to may range.http://www.etsy.com/shop/kelliechristie
My blog http://kelliechristie.blogspot.com/
Why? Being a stay at home mum and raising 2 small boys I find that the only way which is accessible for me to promote myself and my business is online. It would be fantastic to be represented by you and your business and would definitely help me to reach more potential fans who share a passion for quirky, bold and colourful jewellery that can only be found at a selected few markets within the Brisbane area.
Kellie
Hi ,
I would like to nominate my business Fugu fashion . http://www.fugufashion.weebly.com
http://www.fugufashion.bigcartel.com
Fugu fashion make bright and funky handbags and purses from eye catching printed cotton . Prints include paisley , geometric , japanese and florals . Fugu Fashion also make cute little nicknacks like felt alien dolls , zines , fabric bookmarks and head scarfs .
I nominate Zoe of http://agiraffeinascarf.wordpress.com and http://www.etsy.com/shop/agiraffeinascarf Because of all the things she mentioned already and also because her little cross stitch buttons are super cute and should be shared with the world! 🙂
I would also like to nominate http://sweetrustic.blogspot.com/ .
Katie has a gorgeous blog full of lovely crafty ideas .
I’m blushing as I write this, but I would like to nominate my little shop, http://www.etsy.com/shop/theartistshouse because I’m currently putting together a new line of quilts to launch at the beginning of March. Along with that, I’ve hired a photographer because, well, I just can’t do it all. I’m really hoping that with a new line of quilts, plus better photographs, if I could just get some traffic to my store things might start to improve. I’m actually looking for sponsorship options at the moment, to help this launch to be successful, and I just saw your post on The Creative Empire. I’m a stay at home mom though, and my husband is a teacher, and so we’re pretty conservative with our money. An opportunity like this would be amazing.
You’re amazing Jess –what a great idea!
I would also like to nominate http://www.etsy.com/shop/MollysMuses because…
1. I think her photography is amazing
And
2. She is always making treasuries, featuring other sellers. I genuienly believe that she wants to help others creative entrepreneurs grow, and I think that is really admirable of her.
I would love to nominate my little business http://www.etsy.com/shop/isamocrochet
I changed the name for the third time, so I am not known and not seen anywhere, that exposure would give me great kick start, because my designs are really original and unique and made with great quality. And also there is big competition out there with crochet accessories and jewellery, so to get noticed takes really long time.
Thank you for doing all what you doing for us and good luck to all of us 🙂
x
Hello
I’d love this spot for my business – but I’m not nominating myself for this. I’d like to nominate Elaine from Brynn Alex designs on etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/brynnalex)
This shop was set up in memory of her daughter Brynn who died in a car accident at 12 years old.
“Everything is crafted in loving memory of Brynn. The proceeds go to her bursary (scholarship) fund, Heart Strings, so that someone may go to fashion design school or an art school program in her name.
This site is Brynn’s Memorial Tribute Site:
http://www.beheartstrings.com”
I don’t know Elaine personally; I’m from Wales and she is in Vancoover, but she is a very great person with a fantastic cause.
Debs
i nominate myself 🙂
Firstly, I am over-the-moon that Lakshmi of DoodleKreations (http://www.etsy.com/shop/doodlekreations) was so kind as to think of me. 🙂 It is truly a circle of creative support here in the blogosphere and she is equally deserving.
I would absolutely love to win your giveaway. It has been a stand-up year for Moags and Smeet and we are still working hard to build the brand and create a presence. Your ad block would be a fabulous boost!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/moagsandsmeet
http://www.zibbet.com/MoagsandSmeet
I would like to nominate my blog http://74limelane.com.au/blog because I am in the process of some changes and growth so extra advertising would be awesome.
Not to mention I take/make awesome mini-prints 😉
Thanks Jess
But because, in the face of some of these other nominations, I am completely undeserving, I’m going to second the nomination of Emily,
http://www.yirehjewelry.etsy.com/ as I think what she is doing is amazing.
I’d like to nominate my brand new Lovely Magnet Shoppe (www.lovelymagnetshoppe.etsy.com) because it is so brand new, (1 day old!) and needs a little kick-start! It’s always hard starting out with no feedback and a handful of hearts!
One of my goals this year is to be able to quit my day job (c’mon, who likes answering phones all day?)and focus on making beautiful, uplifting and inspiring fridge magnets.
I’m so happy that I just came upon your tweet 🙂
I’ve recently been looking into advertising, searching out different blogs, making my lists. I can’t imagine a better place to start than here! I would be honored to be considered for the win 🙂
Awfully generous of you to offer something such as this!
Amy
Thepeachtree.etsy.com
Bonjour, Jess, I came across your generous offer on The Creative Empire. I collect, restore and sell digital scans of antique and Art Deco French postcards for folks to use in creative projects, whether it be for art or advertising. Wall decor, fabric transfers, greeting cards, gift tags — the uses are ‘beaucoup.’ Along with the image, I enjoy passing on some history and the stories behind the postcards, like the latest one featured on my blog that was addressed to five people AND a cat, Monsiuer Minou! http://www.frenchkissedpostcards.blogspot.com
I’m not sure why, but I’m getting the message that the link to my Zibbet store can’t be found? http://www.zibbet.com/FrenchKissed
I also sell on Etsy, but … Zibbet is the newest up and coming place for entrepreneurs (translation: it’s CHEAP!:)
Merci beaucoup, Trishia, aka FrenchKissed
This is such a lovely and generous opportunity! Thanks so much for inviting us to submit our shops. I’d like to nominate my Etsy shop: http://sassycrafter.etsy.com
I’ve been working on growing an existing product line of mine — upcycled pin cushions made from vintage planters. I think they’re the perfect accessory for any modern sewist! I had been planning to take out an ad on a major craft/sewing blog as soon as I had enough inventory in my Etsy shop, so your opportunity is especially timely.
Also, I’ve always loved nurturing the creative spirit in others. That’s a big part of why I offer a range of craft and sewing classes locally and post related projects on my blog (http://sassycrafter.blogspot.com). The exposure that I could get from your would help bring more people to my blog and help inspire them to be creative in their own lives.
Thanks again for the opportunity!
Kim
The Sassy Crafter
I just saw your giveaway over on The Creative Empire and came straight over to check it out. What a great idea- and so generous! I love your blog too by the way.
I’d like to nominate two people actually. First I’d like to nominate myself. Right now my business is called The Apron Thief, and I’m selling vintage-inspired accessories and housewares. The secret is that I have a big new plan in the works that I hope will be super awesome and huge. I can’t give away my secret just yet, but I would love the free help getting this new bright and colorful adventure going and out there to the world. I think it would do wonderfully here on your beautiful blog.
I’d also like to nominate my friend’s business BohoKnitterChic Spins because she is a wonderful teacher and her business is a huge inspiration for me. Her work is fun and super unique. Check her out at: bohoknitterchic.etsy.com
Thanks again, I sure hope you pick one of us!
I have two nominations.
One is for my friend, Ginger, who has such a talent for macrame, knitting, crochet and all things with wearable fiber and beads. Her Etsy shop is just getting started and she could really use the exposure. http://www.etsy.com/shop/2kmama
the second is for my own little shop, Recycled Zen. http://www.etsy.com/shop/zenmomma
Why? Because I’m on a journey to hopefully one day acknowledge my own strengths and talents. Part of the process is being brave enough to advertise my jewelry to a wider audience than just my friends.
What a generous giveaway!
I would love to nominate my good friends, Amy and Jaylene, the amazing seamstresses behind Threadbare Apparel. http://www.etsy.com/shop/threadbareapparel
Their clothes are beautiful, thoughtfully made, and unique. Amy and Jaylene are a couple of smart, sweet gals who would really appreciate the extra press.
Thanks!
Thanks again for the giveaway!
My own business would love some extra advertising as well. La Petite Vie: http://LaPetiteVie.etsy.com makes natural bath, body, and household cleaning products. We make everything in small batches, with the finest ingredients we can find.
La Petite Vie is steadily growing thanks to lots of repeat customers who enjoy surrounding themselves with wonderfully scented ways to pamper themselves. We hope to continue sharing our goodies with lots of people and make the world a bit more relaxed.
Thank you!
Hi,
I would like to nominate Alexis at Dreaming Dog studios
dreamingdogs.etsy.com
Hi there,
I would like to nominate Alexis Spakoski who has
dreamingdogs.com
Thanks Desray
