I don’t know about you, but I tend to hoard old magazines. I don’t quite know why – because chances are I’m not going to read them again.

But I love them… and I’ll bet there are plenty of you out there who feel the same way!

Some of my maga/zine collection

I also often see someone overseas mention a cool magazine that I can’t get here in Australia, and I fervently wish I could take a peek at it.

So, I thought – why not do a magazine swap? People in different countries can get together and swap old copies of their faves, and share the mag love a little! The only cost involved will be that of shipping them to your swap partner – easy-peasy!

Sound interesting?

The International Maga/zine Swap!

If so, jump on in by leaving a comment below! The rules for participation are:

  • Please leave a quick comment indicating you’d like to take part, and then send an e-mail to jessica AT epherielldesigns dot com with Magazine Swap as the subject line. E-mail should state your name, postal address, and how many magazines or zines you’re happy to send. Please note you will very likely be asked to post overseas.
  • Choose at least 2 magazines or zines to send to your swap partner. If you’ve indicated a willingness to send more in the above e-mail, I’ll do my best to match up people sending the same number of publications.
  • If possible, try to choose magazines or zines local to your country!
  • Magazines or zines chosen should be somewhat related to craft, art, photography, vintage or design – no trashy gossip mags, please ;D
  • They should be back issues of magazines you already own and love – no need to buy new mags or zines! Please don’t send a mag you’re particularly attached to, because it’s not a requirement of this swap to return them.
  • I’ll leave registration open for 2 weeks, then I’ll assign swap partners and send you and your partner each other’s details. You send out your magazines within a week of receiving your partners details, and shoot me a quick e-mail to let me know you’ve posted!
  • I’d LOVE to read any blog posts you do after you get your swap goodies – if you do blog about this, please leave a link in the comments on this post! (This isn’t a requirement, just a request.)

If you have a friend who you think would love this, please let them know!

Feel free to grab the mag swap image above, and any of these buttons to spread the word.
