Well, Paul the photographer and I had a fun morning – him making me hold jewellery and pose, and I did my darndest to keep that big cheesy smile on my face. So, the morning was a success.
This afternoon? Not so much. The fan on my beloved laptop – the computer that has worked with me for 14 hours a day every day for the last year – died. It has not been a good week for me technology-wise!
On the bright side, this prompted me to finally order the desktop computer I’ve been wanting, and as I type (on a very ooooold laptop we have lying around) Nick is building my brand-new baby! I am insanely excited about having a desktop with a 24-inch LCD screen, I can’t WAIT to start using it.
But, enough about me, let’s talk about the fantastic shop that is Touch the Dutch.
Touch the Dutch is the work of Canadian artist Anneke van Bommel, and is filled with – dare I say it – somewhat whimsical designs based upon her experience as a Canadian – think Mounties, otters, tree stumps and antlers.
I love her shop because 1) the Dutch element. As a Dutchy decendent myself, that gets a tick just because; 2) she blends silver and wooden designs so incredibly well!; 3) her work is so adorable it’s ridiculous.
Up top are her Lotus Stacking Rings – so beautiful!
