Thanks to Alanna’s comment in the last post, I have found ana-white. All I can say is *oh dear* – it’s a site full of gorgeous carpentry plans of many, many types. And I am in love, people!

How awesome is this? I have always loved desks with a little hidden cubby-hole, and since I only have a laptop as a computer, I can put it in there – and you can even close it up so it looks like a chest of drawers. Currently I usually sit on the bed in the spare room when I use my ‘puter – I’d love a bit more of a permanent (and pretty) home for it (and me!).
Oh, I also found this on the site, and had to share for the sewers amongst us…

How cool is that website! I have built some simple shelves and they are awesomely useful! Next for me is an outdoor coffee table and the apothecary entertainment unit:) the instructions are super easy to follow, just make sure if you get bunnings to cut things for you that you put the measurements in mm. They struggled at mine with the inches! And they cut my mdf for free! Yay!
We spent the weekend building Ana’s knock off Pottery Barn Stratton bed. It was a lot of work but her plans were spot on. We’re beginners and it wasn’t a beginner project but it all turned out quite nicely. Now we have a list of things to build… Next up – a media center!

The desk is beautiful! The project table is similar to mine. I use it in my jewelry “studio.” The cubbies hold tin boxes with clear plexi glass lids – perfect for organizing beads and wire! 😉
