Where do you live?

Niceville, Fl, but was born and lived for 25 years in Italy

il_430xN.73823669Where do you do your work?

In a little hall upstairs LOL

What’s your favourite place in the world, and why?

I lived in Tuscany and fell in love with it…..I hope I can live there forever, so much peace!

Tell us a little bit more about yourself! Your ‘day job’ or business, family, hobbies…

I’m a stay at home mom of 2 wonderful kids! Gabriel is 5 and is language impaired, and I have a 3 yo little girl that it’s just a mini-me!

Crocheting is a real passion for me and now it’s my business, since is giving me the opportunity to save a little money and paying some college course that I’m attending to work in child care facilities.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Good question and I’m supposed to be able to answer, even tho I’m already grown up…but I don’t know! I discovered a while ago that we’re God’s projects and He knows what to do with me…I should ask him next time I see him :)

How did you first get into your craft/art?il_430xN.75105331

I was 9 yo. My mom is a doilie maker and taught me to crochet during summer breaks….I picked it up again during my second pregnancy and I didn’t stop ever since.

What do you make?

What do I make? I make crochet accessories. Right now I’m really into jewelry and fake food items, as well as spa items, but I can make pretty much anything….blankets, doilies, sweaters…you name it and I know how to make them!

What are you most proud of making?

My cupcakes Christmas ornaments for sure……everybody found them adorable and I love making them

What do you like the most/least about selling your wares online?

Taking pictures for sure!! I’m not a photographer and I’ll never be! I’m always tweaking my pictures but my customer’s keep saying my items looks much better in person :)

I love:

My kids, eating pasta and pizza. about selling on line? meeting new people, too funny!

il_430xN.48180838It drives me crazy when:

People lies. Can’t stand it! Tell me the truth, I can handle it!

What’s your favourite word?

Love…specially when it comes out of my children mouth.

If you could sum yourself or your work up in one sentence, it would say:

I think I’m very sensitive and whimsical and my items reflect that too.

My newest design :)

What do you think? It’s made from non-tarnish silver wire (not sterling) – though I have made a sterling silver clasp to complete it! I created it by crocheting chains, and then wrapping them together carefully to form this beautiful little confection! I wore mine today – very comfy.

Ah, Christmas Eve!

Here is a view of my back yard this Christmas Eve morning…

Jealous? :) It has been quite hot so far this summer, but the worst is yet to come – January is traditionally the hottest month. I have been busily crafting away these past few weeks, but I have only had the energy to list a few things on Etsy – so I thought I’d give you a peek at what I’ve been working on…

I made a whole stack of sea glass pendants when we were over on Moreton Island the other week -

I also made my first set of briolette wire-wrapped earrings a few weeks ago. They’re not perfect, but I like them, and I’ve worn them a few times. I even had a girl on the street comment as to how much she liked them, so that’s a good sign!

I’m still crocheting with wire, and yesterday I made this necklace. I  also bought a litte bit of bracelet memory wire and used the left over beads to make a matching bracelet!

My newest experiment has been making simple pendants out of wire. I’m not sure about these, but I’ll keep experimenting and see if I can work out a good technique for them.

Well, I’m currently trying to type one-handed, as I’m enjoying an ice-cream from the corner store down the road! Mmmm, chocolate and ice-cream… and caramel :D

I shall bid you all adeau, and wish you all a happy and safe Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
