It’s that time of year when we naturally start thinking about what the next will bring. I broke out the whiteboard 2012 year planner last night and set out all of my important dates for 2012 – with all my lovely multi-coloured markers… ahhh…
Yearly planning is all well and vital, but what about long-term planning? I thought I’d share this lovely 5-Year-Plan illustration by Laura Wood with you all today.
I adore the positive imagery, the story.. but my FAVOURITE bit is where she’s sitting, head hung, right before the summit. We’ve all felt like that in our businesses, haven’t we?
We work so hard, and sometimes it just feels like we should chuck in the towel. But, often as not, if we just KEEP GOING, we’ll find that we’re a lot closer to our own personal summit than we thought.

using colour markers, pens, highlighters, and postits are my incentive for all responsible planning and tasks… they are like a reward that you get while working instead of when you are finished!
I wouldn't necessarily say the movement has ended. Although, the lack of any leadership, period, has prevented us from moving off square one. I feel somewhat betrayed, also, by tea parties and veteran orasnizgtiona. As we speak, where the hell are they? A true leader would have to step forward and simply tell the American people the truth, as far as where things stand. I know we're in trouble and resolving this could get ugly.
This is a fantastic visual Jess, thanks so much for sharing it!!
