Day 31 – Vintage 60s frock from Retro Star (being smiled upon by the sun)
Here we are at the end of October – and that means the end of Frocktober, too!
Thanks to Frocktober, I finally got over my fear of sewing, and made my very first dress. I can’t wait to get home and make even more with the lovely sheets I have waiting for me…
I have so far raised almost $200 towards Ovarian Cancer research – and all by simply wearing and sharing my favourite dresses.
I have one more Frocktober pledge to fulfill – to auction off one of my vintage dresses to raise a last chunk of money for the cause! I’m aiming to put the auction up tomorrow – because I’m still on the road today and the dress I want to auction is at home. What will it be? You’ll have to come back tomorrow evening to find out!
Thank you SO SO much to all of you who have donated to Frocktober on my behalf – you are wonderful xx I hope you’ve enjoyed your journey through my wardrobe… no doubt I’ll still pop in with an outfit post now and again to show you what I’ve added to my collection!

My Frocktober Pledge
I have a couple of pledges for Frocktober – which is an annual event to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research:
- Each day I will don a vintage or handmade dress, take a photo, and blog about it here on Epheriell Designs. Considering I’m travelling to Melbourne and Canberra to attend the Problogger Training Day AND attending one of my bestie’s weddings, it’s going to be a frocktabulous month, and I might even be able to drag some other ladies into the fray!
I am going to sew my very first dress!!! {DONE!}Yes, I am very, very excited about this – and terrified, too! I have the perfect pattern, the perfect fabric – and it’s one of my goals for 2011. This is just the kick in the skirt that I need to get it done!- At the end of the month I’m going to auction off one of my vintage dress collection, and all the money raised will go into my pledge fund!

Fantastic frock work Jess!
I love how your last dress round-up is all pink. You do look pretty in pink, especially so in your wedding frock! 😀
I didn’t even realise they were all pink – haha!
