In Australia, it’s tradition to have beautiful, succulent cherries on the Christmas table.
Chances are, there will be some left over the next day, so here’s a reasonably healthy way to use up those extra cherries!
Ingredients
- 1 medium/large banana
- 10 cherries
- 200 mL milk
- 1 scoop vanilla ice-cream
Pop all the ingredients into your blender or Bamix, and whizz it all up!
You can’t get much simpler than that.
It doesn’t need any additional sweetener, as the banana and cherries + ice-cream give it all the sweetness it needs. However, if you have a particularly sweet tooth, squeeze a little bit of honey in there.
I had this for breakfast on Boxing Day morning yesterday – a nice healthy drink after Christmas Day gluttony!
