Today I ventured into the city to give my regular lecture at UQ, and to stock a cube at Bleeding Heart (you can now find a range of Vintette goodness in there). Now, we all know I don’t get down to the city much – country girl that I am – so I like to people-watch when I do get the chance – but today’s people-watching was definitely dominated by their umbrellas!
It has been raining and raining all day here in Brisbane, so while on my various jaunts around today I got to observe many and varied umbrellas. Big umbrellas, small ones. Broken ones, new ones, old ones. Many were boring, or ugly – a few were rather pretty! So, I thought it was a good chance to share with you this particular umbrella.
This Fulton Lulu Guinness Birdcage Umbrella is my most favourite umbrella ever! Alas, I can’t find it for sale anywhere in Australia – but it is for sale on Amazon.co.uk. I meant to buy one when we were in England earlier this year, but forgot – argh!
So, I will have to be content to gaze at it lovingly, and think how adorable it is.
Do you have a favourite umbrella?

Such a pretty brolly! And I haven’t clicked over from Google Reader in awhile. It’s looking mighty pretty at Epherielledesigns.com too!
Ohh, thanks Neen! 🙂 xx
I can see why!! This umbrella is AWESOME. Now, what else were you saying there? I got distracted. 😉
Love the birdy umbrella. I do have a favourite that I use, it’s a gigantic golfing umbrella that doesn’t allow a drop of rain to get anywhere near me and is big enough for at least 4 people to cuddle under 🙂
Oh, those golfing umbrellas are ace! I’d be worried in the city that I’d take someone’s eye out, though ;D
