On Saturday, we went to my cousin’s afternoon tea engagement party (another cousin just got engaged a few weeks ago – must be the season for it!).
I bought this dress ages ago but haven’t worn it, as it needs an alteration to close an opening at the front, just below the waist – where you would normally expect to find a short zipper in a 50s dress. However, I cheated for the meantime and just used some stick-on velcro dots to hold it closed!
I will have to come up with a better long-term solution…
Dress – Vintage 1950s – Bought from Studio 1950
Shoes – thrifted – Tsonga (these are handmade in South Africa!! And I got them at my local Vinnies for $8!! Goes to show you never know what you will find…)
Belt – thrifted
Brooch – That Vintage
Jewellery – Vintette

I love this dress! Such gorgeous colors! Plus the shoes – what a steal! Fabulous outfit 🙂
I was going to ask about the shoes until I got to the “you can never buy them yourself!” part! Good deal though, lovely dress too.
ps we do wedding photography if your cousins are looking 😉
