This afternoon Nick and I had our first ‘date’ afternoon in a loooong time!

When you live and work together 24/7, it’s easy to forget to actually spend time together! I know that sounds crazy, but when we’re here at home, I’m usually in one room working, and he’s in another. We always make the point to sit down to lunch (our main meal) together each day, and we’ll usually sit down and watch another episode of whatever TV show we’re currently working our way through each night (Six Feet Under, just finished Series 4…).

But we very rarely just spend time together, or go out together when it’s not to visit friends. So, today, we went out to the movies – we literally couldn’t remember the last time we went to the movies!!

We had an insanely buttery/salty box of popcorn, a frozen coke (hello, zillion tasty tasty calories) and watched Kate Beckinsale kick butt for an hour and a half. (The new Underworld movie is good fun, btw).

I used this as an excuse to dress up in one of my new Modcloth dresses – the first I’ve ever bought!

I have to say, I really love this one – it’s a gorgeous Cherry red, and a perfect fit! I even got a cute free pair of black-and-white polkadot hair slides – you can see me wearing one in the photos.

P.S. Check out my wavy hair! This is what happens when my hair is still half-wet from washing it… alas, those lovely curls tend to fall out when it goes completely dry – sob!
