I’ve been thinking… you see, I love to jump into relevant chats on twitter – but it seems that most of them are hosted by folks in the US, and so the timezones are always tricky for me to get involved with!
Since I run my crafty businesses as my full-time gig, I have a lot of knowledge to share – and a twitter chat is a great way to have a regular real-time conversation that anyone can jump in on!
I was thinking of having a different question/topic each week that we Aussie crafters can chat about (and of course tweeps from anywhere in the world are welcome!) – all sorts of helpful stuff about running a crafty biz.
So – what do you think? If you’d like to get on board, please let me know what day and what time suits you the best (in Aus EST, please, so I don’t get confused! :D)
I’d love to chat with you each week and help you grow your own crafty business!
I’ll get back to you soon with a day and time – and if you don’t follow me already on twitter, I’m @JessVanDen
P.S. Please leave any ideas for topics below, too!

I’m so in jess – but I do have a silly question! Im still figuring twitter out so when work out details can you tell us newbies how a twitter chat works? Thank 🙂
Absolutely Elle – and not a silly question at all!
Basically a chat works by everyone in the chat ‘following’ the hashtag connected to the chat.
So, in this case, the hashtag will be #craftybizchat
The easiest way to participate is to download a free twitter client (like tweetdeck, which is what I use). In there, right up the top, is a little plus sign in a circle. When you hover over it, it says ‘add new column’.
So, you click on that, enter #craftybizchat into the search bar that comes up, and a whole new column will appear, where the chat will scroll by in real-time!
So, anyone participating will ask or answer their question, or make a comment, and at the end of the tweet, they’ll add #craftybizchat – and it will come up in the chat stream.
I hope that helps, Elle!
Thats Awesome Jess – I think I have tweet deck already but never used it! These little biz chats sound great!

Oh I’m very interested! I might not have anything to input, I’m kind of at a standstill with my craftybiz, but I would LOVE to get advice from people who are having success!
I don’t have a preference for the time. 🙂
Sweet Zoe, thank you!
Sounds great Jess!
I’m keen!
