Mother’s Day Giveaway Winner… and a peek at the upcoming Autumn Collection

Wow, thanks so much to everyone who entered the Pin it to Win it Giveaway!

There were almost 400 entries – so we’ve counted them all up and taken Mr Random.org for a spin.

And the winner is:

Elena Rudaya who won The Oceanids  Necklace!

Oceanids (4)

Congratulations Elena! I’ll be in touch so you can organise your prize – two Oceanids Necklaces.

Just a reminder for everyone else – if you’re outside of Oz the deadline to order for Mother’s Day has passed, but for those of you here in Australia, you’ve got till I wake up tomorrow morning to get your order in :) Anything after that won’t be guaranteed to get in the mail in time for Mother’s Day.

Make sure to check out the Gift Guide if you haven’t already!

In other news, I’ve been hard at work… (um, really, hard at play) on the 2013 Autumn Collection.

The theme of this collection is Yin/Yang – each piece will be available in 2 shade combos (silver and black). There will be necklaces, earrings, and some rings, too.

Here are a few peeks at what I’ve been up to that I’ve shared via Instagram…

long black oxidized necklace with crystal pendant

oxidised sterling silver chain with flexible chevron pendant

long oxidised necklace with asymmetric sterling silver pendant

Yes, I’m loving super-long necklaces at the moment!

What I Wore: Red and Silver and Black

I put this little ensemble together last Friday for a trip up to the hospital to see Dad. Since the cool weather has finally hit (we spent Saturday doing an Autumn clean and digging out our Ugg boots, fluffy gowns and flannelette sheets) I was happy to be able to whip out my fave red tights that I bought in England last year. I just can’t seem to find this denier of tights here in Queensland… at least, not in fun colours!

I wanted to wear one of my new pairs of shoes (I got this same pair in both black and taupe at a Target sale) and the cool day decided me on this dress, and I went from there. On went one of my fave pairs of earrings, and the adorable Kimono Reincarnate brooch that my friend Melanie gave me late last year – so sorry it took me so long to wear it, Mel, I’d hidden it from myself accidentally!

We had a lovely visit with Dad, he looked GREAT! A huge change from earlier in the week, and better than I’ve seen him in months. The first round of chemo seems to be doing its job, and he was in the recovery phase, feeling really good. It was a little sad and scary to see the chemo knocking him around, but it’s gotta be done – we just hope it keeps doing what it needs to do to get him better and back home!

After that we went over to our friend Mark’s place for tea, wine, pizza, olives (well, I had olives, Nick said ‘ick’ as usual), good conversation and laughs. It was a very lovely day indeed.

A Little Autumn Inspiration…

Happy Monday, all! Are you still enjoying the Easter long weekend? Public holidays are a bit of a non-event in my household, generally, because the only person who’s job is affected by them is my dad, and he works from home most of the time, anyways. For the rest of us, it’s business-as-usual (though I do take the chance to rest a little due to the decrease in emails…).

Nick and I decided to celebrate the Easter holiday in a very low-key way – we had a small fire in the back paddock, and just sat and enjoyed the clear sky and full moon. We also had fire-cooked chocolate bananas (check out my Instagram feed for a peek).

Since in this topsy-turvy world, most of the blogosphere is celebrating the burgeoning Spring, I thought I’d do my bit for the Southern Hemisphere today and put together a little Autumn inspiration post – some warm colours and textures to celebrate my favourite season.

P.S. What’s your fave season?
