The Epheriell Designs Blogaversary is drawing to a close… huge thanks to all my amazing guest posters this week! I’m so glad you could pop by and help me celebrate!
Today I thought it was time for a Frocktober round-up – I’ve been keeping up with my pledge to wear a different handmade or vintage dress every day!
  Monday
On the road from Wagga to Aulbury (not too far, but we had to spend the day in Wagga while our van got an engine hose replaced!). I’m wearing a vintage 50s dress in lemon.
 Tuesday
On the road from Albury to Melbourne… stopping off at my favourite every winery (BB wines have been my fave for years!). This is a lovely vintage frock I’ve had for a while now – it’s shiny!
Wednesday
Melbourne – visiting my aunt and uncle, and catching up on some jewellery orders. My aunt is a dressmaker of 30 or so years, and she taught me a few tricks to use on my next dress! This one is a simple vintage shift dress.
Thursday
This morning saw me head into Melbourne city (ahh, the coffee! The cafes! The style!) to give a talk on social media for small biz to the AGM of the FTAANZ. It was an inspiring morning – I love getting people excited about using social media! Then, oh dear… I discovered Retro Star.
Oh my lordy lord, it’s a very good thing I don’t live down here or I would probably spend every cent I earn in there. As it was I came away with 7 dresses and 2 belts! This is one of them..
And, just for those who’ve never been there:
And that’s just a tiny bit of it. Uh huh!
Friday
Friday was a MASSIVE day – I attended the Problogger Training Day with almost 300 other bloggers. It was absolutely fantastic.
The best part – of course – was meeting so many of my online friends IRL – and getting to chat to Darren a few times was pretty fabulous, too – he’s such a lovely guy. Not to mention I won a copy of the Problogger book (Darren signed it for me, too!) for my #pbevent tweeting efforts.
Darren – I’ll be there next year if you hold this event again. No pressure ;D
This is my FAVOURITE new dress from Retro Star, and I wore it to the conference with a colourful belt. You couldn’t miss me!
Saturday
Recovering after a massive day yesterday, my friend Katja and I went out for lunch and a wander around a sculpture park while our guys went to check out the car show on in the city! This is another Retro Star dress – on sale for just $15!!
And so we come to Saturday afternoon – I’ve been getting some Epheriell jewellery orders made today, and tonight will be dinner with friends before we hit the road again for Canberra tomorrow!
I’m really excited about my bestie’s wedding next weekend – not to mention I know I have a couple of pretty special frocks waiting for me in Canberra.
I hope you’ve been enjoying your little trip through my vintage wardrobe! If so, I would be so grateful if you could spare a few $$ to help me raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Research, and maybe even reach my goal of $500 raised! xx

Oh I do love your favourite new dress it is so fabulous and retro.
Thanks so much, Sandra! I adore it, especially the sleeves, they’re quite unusual!
Wow, Retro Star looks amazing. Loving all your divine frocks Jess. You look gorgeous. xo
Retro Star looks so cool 🙂 And I love your Monday dress 🙂
It is! And thanks, Sarah! 🙂
Loving all your frocks; only a week or so to go!
Oh so many pretties! I think my favourite might actually be the simple shift – it’s got the kind of crazy colour and pattern that always draws my eye.
And RetroStar vintage?! What is this shop of awesome that I know nothing about? Definitely heading there when I’m in Melbourne come November 🙂
