This week I’m sharing 10 fantastic indie Aussie t-shirt designers. Until I did the research for this post, I had no idea how much groovy t-shirt goodness there was happening in Australia!

All Photos sourced from the designer’s webpages.

1. Mr Blonde

As they put it themselves, Mr Blonde is the ‘love child’ of Jessie Dinan & Adrian Bruinhout. Those of you with a love of “old movie stars, vintage, 50s pin ups, tattoos, music, art, photography, and portraits” – this is the shop for you. For guys, girls and little ones.

2. Cumbungi

Unique illustrations inspired by Australian animals and plants, and designed by Beth. The designs are either hand printed or sewn onto a range of t-shirts. For guys, girls and kids!

3. IMOK

Jen Roberts and Sandra Mason are the creative powerhouses behind IMOK. Not only t-shirts – these ladies also create and sell their art and illustrations.

4. Klub Retro

Head designer Scott Thomas founded Klub Retro in 2003, and began selling at the Southbank Markets. Still designed and created in good old Brisvegas! Some awesome Aussie nostalgia here, people! (Shirts for girls, guys, kids + more).

5. Kosi Kosi

Kosi Kosi is a collaboration between Kane Barri & Kyle Mac. There most recent work has a dark, almost gothic sense about it. For guys and girls.

6. Dead Seven

Made by Sydney designer Anthony Newman, this is a small, but promising range of shirts for guys.

7. Howdy Stranger

Based in Newcastle, Miranda Whittle is the creative mind behind Howdy Stranger. She makes a range of stuff – her shirts for girls are just a part of her line!

8. Four Legs

Run by two apparel designers (and their cat) in Melbourne. A whole range of quirky t-shirts for guys and gals.

9. Random Ally

Created by sisters Kat and Sarah Lloyd, Random Ally has shirts for guys and girls – and all hand-printed by the sisters.

10. Archers of Grace

Designed and manufactured in Byron Bay, these t-shirts definitely have the feeling of beach-blissed-out hippyness about them. Dreamy designs in gorgeous colours – for guys and girls!

So – that’s the wrap-up of 10 Aussie Indie t-shirt designers! Do you know of any other rad t-shirt designers in the land of Oz? If so, please let us know in the comments!
